OUR CENTRE D'INNOVATION

With our Centre d’Innovation in Sainte-Marie-aux-Chênes, we have given ourselves the option of completing new processes in polymer technology such as laser welding and laser marking of plastics directly on-site. It is possible to directly test our customer specific products for their suitable for these processes in the framework of feasibility studies and modify them. In the framework of presentations and workshops, we are currently able to carry out these procedures directly with our customers on six independent laser sources. The core of it is our new 6-axis robot which can move the laser source freely through space and thus opens us new options in the use of both procedures. Just submit an online query or contact one of our application technicians for an on-site consultation on the topic of laser welding and laser marking at your business premises.
In our Centre d’Innovation, we carry our feasibility studies on laser welding our products on order from our customers. Laser welding is an innovative joining procedure for plastics and offers advantages that currently cannot be achieved with any other procedure. A very clean weld seam is created in laser welding, leaving behind no residues or loose particles of any kind around the seam. This fact makes the procedure especially interesting for the manufacture of medical devices, where the highest demands are placed on material and function. In contrast to ultrasonic welding, laser welding also permits joining components with electronic parts without compromising their properties or destroying them.

Laser marking is a method for engraving, removing, roughing, discolouring or foaming plastics. This allows plastic parts to be quickly and precisely labelled.

In our Innovation Centre there are 6 different laser sources available for test procedures on plastics.

The areas of application for light blocking and diffusor functions in technical plastics are diverse. Along with the automotive industry, such solutions are used to modify light radiation mainly in medical technology and pharmacy. The most important factor here is highest precision in the conditioning of plastics. Specifically, the use of light blockers in medical technology and pharmacy assures that solutions and medicines are protected from the damaging effects of electromagnetic radiation and that their functions and effects are preserved. Implementing such complex requiremetns is the specialisation of the Treffert corporate group, which researches solutions for each specific use case in its own laboratory. Just submit an online query or contact an application technician for a consultation at your business premises.
Products made of bio-plastics are becoming more and more important in our everyday world. Whether as shopping bags or in the foods industry, plastics based on renewable raw materials are being used more and more often and in greater variety. The term bio-plastic means both plastics that were made from renewable raw materials as well as for plastics made from mineral sources that are biodegradable. The options for conditioning such plastics with functions are correspondingly complex and dependent on the use-case. The Treffert corporate group specialises in conditioning plastics and offers you free consulting on the topic at your own business premises.
